The Aunglan Township Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, disbursed Mya Sein Yaung revolving project funds at Samkalay (Ywama) Village in Aunglan Township, Magway Region, yesterday.

U Win Naing, Head of the Aunglan District Department of Rural Development, explained that the revolving funds are being distributed to create job opportunities, boost family incomes for rural residents in Samkalay (Ywama) Village, and implement village infrastructure developments using the accumulated project interest and funds.

Subsequently, the project-in-charge clarified the project guidelines, interest rates, loan periods, and regulations. They then handed over the revolving funds to the members of the village project working committee.

Under the field supervision of the Aunglan District Department officials, the village project committee systematically distributed the first batch of low-interest loans directly to 82 project members. The disbursement totalled K29.4 million, which included funds for 44 individuals in agricultural businesses, 34 in livestock breeding, two in trading businesses, and two in micro-enterprises.
