officials from the Pinlaung Township Rural Development Department under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development conducted a field inspection yesterday of Village Development Project (VDP) activities being implemented in Nampa and Pauke villages in Pinlaung Township, the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South).
Shan State (South) Rural Development Department Head U Maung Maung Win, Pinlaung Township Department Head U Kyaw Swa, and engineers, together with members of the village development committees, inspected the ongoing construction works. In Nampa Village, they observed the construction of a rural concrete road measuring 500 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and six inches in thickness. In Pauke Village, they observed the brick water tank construction project measuring 50 feet in length, 35 feet in width, and seven feet in depth.
Following the inspection, officials urged village development committee members to cooperate to ensure projects are completed on schedule in accordance with prescribed engineering standards. Necessary coordination and support were also provided during the visit.
The village development works are being implemented by local villagers with technical assistance from the Township Rural Development Department, using VDP support funds of K15 million per village, along with public contributions.
