Myanmar authorities detained 33 Chinese nationals involved in online scam and gambling operations, and seized 32 all-in-one computers, 20 tables and 35 chairs in Pansali village, Loisatone village-tract, located about 7,800 metres northwest of Tachilek in Shan State (East) yesterday.
Similarly, at about 1,800 metres northwest of Maehtawthalay village in Myawady Township in Kayin State, authorities raided a two-storey building and arrested 27 Chinese nationals involved in online scam and gambling operations. Seizures during the raid were four all-in-one computers, 14 monitors, 20 CPUs, and 43 mobile phones used in the illegal activities.
Offenders involved in the case will face legal action following a thorough investigation.
