The Tanai Township Rural Development Department, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, disbursed the Mya Sein Yaung revolving project funds at Mongkhun Village in Tanai Township, Kachin State, yesterday.
The project aims to enable rural residents to expand their family income-generating businesses. During the ceremony, U Tun Min Lwin, Head of the Tanai District Rural Development Department, explained the objectives of the Mya Sein Yaung project fund disbursement.
Subsequently, township officials discussed the project framework, interest rates, loan periods, and regulations. They then handed over the revolving fund of K87.1 million to the members of the Mongkhun Village project working committee.
Under the field supervision of the officials, the village project committee systematically distributed the 12th batch of low-interest loans directly to 153 project members. The disbursement included K65.3 million to 122 individuals for agricultural businesses, K6.3 million to 11 individuals for livestock breeding, and K15.5 million to 20 individuals for trading businesses, totalling K87.1 million.
