U Tin Maung Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, met Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, who was on a working visit to Nay Pyi Taw, at the MGallery Hotel on 19 May 2026. The Union Minister also hosted a working lunch for the Foreign Minister of Malaysia and his delegation.
The two Foreign Ministers cordially discussed matters relating to the enhancement of relations between Myanmar and Malaysia at the bilateral level and in the context of ASEAN. They exchanged views on the promotion of existing cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
The Malaysian delegation arrived in Nay Pyi Taw by a special flight on the afternoon of 19 May 2026 and was welcomed by U Naing Min Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon arrival at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport. The delegation departed for Malaysia on the evening of the same day.
