UNDER the instruction of the Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, the Agriculture Department will host the Myanmar Durian Festival set for 19 May 2026 at Myaypadethakyun in Bahan Township, Yangon, according to the Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association (MFVP).
The festival aims to showcase Myanmar-origin durian varieties, promote exports and penetration into foreign markets under the country’s brand name, exchange cultivation methods and post-harvest technologies, expand the durian market, foster investment and business networks, and explore commercially valuable, premium-quality durian varieties.
