WANG Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and foreign minister, held talks with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn in Phnom Penh on Thursday.
Wang said that the first meeting between foreign ministers and defence ministers of China and Cambodia under the “2+2” strategic dialogue mechanism was a success, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to being long-term, reliable good friends and partners.
Wang said that China is willing to work with Cambodia to coordinate development and security, deepen all-around cooperation between the two countries, and strengthen coordination and cooperation within multilateral mechanisms such as China-ASEAN cooperation and Lancang-Mekong cooperation. — Xinhua
