Concerning Myanmar migrant workers who were being dismissed from an air conditioning factory in Thailand’s Kabin Buri, the Labour Attaché Office negotiated to claim the benefits they are entitled.
The Myanmar workers were terminated from the factory without prior notice. In this case, the office met factory officials and Thai agencies on 20 April and negotiated on their behalf regarding their benefits under Thai labour law.
Similarly, a Myanmar migrant worker, Maung Myo Hlaing Win, died from injuries in a motorcycle accident on 18 April in Thailand’s Pathum Thani, and the office met his family on 20 April and provided the assistance they needed.
