The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation stated that fertilizer requirements will be calculated based on the summer paddy acreage currently under cultivation in each region and state, and that the fertilizer will be sold at a special discounted price.

Currently, the first batch of fertilizers covering 30 per cent of the remaining summer paddy cultivation areas in the regions and states has been sold at a special discounted price, based on the recommendations of the respective region and state governments following field inspections. It is also reported that efforts are underway to supply the fertilizers required for the remaining areas at a special discounted price before they are needed.

In this manner, pearl fertilizer is being sold directly at the workplace at a cash-on-delivery price of K100,500 per bag. Similarly, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Nay Pyi Taw Council, is distributing locally produced diesel fuel to farmers in Nay Pyi Taw at a special price.

Currently, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy is distributing locally produced diesel fuel directly to farmers in Nay Pyi Taw, targeting villages yet to be planted for the 2025-2026 financial year summer paddy and oilseed crop season. The fuel is sold at K10,000 per gallon through a cash-on-delivery system to help ease fuel shortages and improve affordability.
