The Myanmar Tourism Bank (MTB) introduced MTB Pay Merchant Solutions on 9 April to support business operations and promote modern digital payment systems across the country.
The MTB Pay Merchant Solutions offer key services, including MTB Pay QR acceptance, which enables customers to make fast, real-time payments using mobile phones, and MTB POS terminals, which accept MPU cards, providing greater convenience for card users.
For the first year of service, all Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) fees for MTB Pay QR and MTB POS (MPU card) transactions will be waived, set at zero per cent. In addition, business owners will receive support in the form of a seven per cent interest benefit.
Users can also conveniently withdraw cash not only at MTB Bank branches but also through nearby super agents, according to MTB.
