SENIOR General Min Aung Hlaing, selected as Vice President by the group of the Pyithu Hluttaw representatives, was elected as President by the Presidential Electoral College comprising all Pyidaungsu Hluttaw representatives at the presidential election on 3 April 2026. Therefore, the Lokachantha Abhayalabhamuni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi Pagoda) board of trustees, the Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation, the Myanmar MSME Cluster Footwear Manufacturers Federation (Central), the Myanmar Shaanxi General Chamber of Commerce, the Myanmar-Belarus Promotion of Friendship and Cooperation Association, the Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioner’ Association, the Myanmar Chinese Buddhist Monks Association, the Maejima Lankara Samanekyaw Association, the Private Security Services Association, and the Dawei Ethnic Organizing Committee (Central) issued the special congratulatory messages over the election of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as President.
Their messages conveyed special pride and pleasure that Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was elected by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw as President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
