MISS Agripreneur will conduct course packages related to Agri-Value Added Products & SME Business in April to help farmers and entrepreneurs be equipped with technical skills to incorporate a business mindset and operate a business enterprise.

Miss Agripreneur, an agricultural-related opportunity hub centre on an online platform for Myanmar’s farmers and agri youths, will offer these course packages to share recipes of nine products per package and provide a good opportunity for processors to produce and sell value-added products when basic food commodity prices are rising. Moreover, it will enable them to set up a robust MSME to develop essential business skills to turn farm produce into a value-added product of the sustainable and competitive enterprise and to yield higher profits.

The course will be taught by a specialist, Daw Saint Yee Htet, Founder of the Global Food Safety Institute, who has extensive international experience in the food business sector and SME consultation.

The course will provide practical guidance on transforming agricultural raw materials into value-added products, developing food SME business ideas that can be started from home on a small scale to commercial production and practical instruction on production techniques as well as applicable business mindsets. One course package will include detailed instructions on nine products.

Package 1 covering value-added processing for boiled chickpeas, Poneyaygyi (fermented bean paste), tofu, roasted chickpeas, fried bean flakes, peanut snack stick, peanut oil, fermented soybean cake, and snacks made from fermented soybean cake will be offered from 7 pm to 9 pm on 6-8 April via Zoom application. The Package 2 will share how to run a food business from home by making curry paste powder, dried curry paste, pounded Ngapi (fish paste), fried soy sauce, fried dried fish, fried tamarind/ roselle, fried dried shrimp, tomato paste and tomato sauce from 7 pm to 9 pm on 20-22 April.

Package 3 to produce Fermentation & Pickles Products, including fermented bamboo shoot, pickled mustard greens, kimchi, various pickled vegetables, pickled cucumber, pickled onion, wet/dry fermented soybeans, sour fish, and Ngapi (fish paste), is scheduled to take place from 7 pm to 9 pm on 27- 29 April.

Those first 20 participants will benefit from early registration with a special price of K79,000 for a single package, whereas the regular price is K89,000. Two packages combined will cost K178,000, and early applicants can attend with a special price of K149,000. Meanwhile, All-in-One (all three packages) totalled K219,000, covering a total of 27 products. The training will be conducted via Zoom, with recorded videos made available for viewing in a Telegram group for one full year.
