The Ministry of Energy is closely monitoring and supervising the fuel import and distribution supply chain to ensure that there is no shortage of fuel within the country. Measures are being taken to ensure the continuous arrival of fuel imports from abroad, to prevent shortages at fuel stations and to ensure the arrival of fuel to the consumers. The ministry also conducts surprise checks on fuel remaining at petrol stations, arrival and withdrawal of fuel at the terminals of Thilawa.

The relevant officials of the Ministry of Energy and affiliated departments supervise to prevent people from queuing to purchase fuel at fuel stations. Therefore, the number of vehicles queuing at the fuel station began to decrease yesterday evening.

People are urged to avoid unnecessary fuel purchases.
