The Ministry of Education has announced that hospital examination centres will be opened for students receiving medical treatment during the matriculation examination to be held from 11 to 17 March 2026.
The hospital examination centres will be opened at Yangon General Hospital, North Okkalapa General and Teaching Hospital, Central Women’s Hospital and Waibargi Speciality Hospital in Yangon; Mandalay General Hospital in Mandalay Region; and Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000-bed) in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
In addition, in other townships and districts across the states and regions, if students receiving medical treatment at major township hospitals wish to sit for the examination, the relevant education officers and schoolheads will coordinate to open hospital examination centres at those hospitals.
