A China-Myanmar poetry recitation event was held at Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) Studio A in Kamayut Township, Yangon Region, on the morning of 24 December to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Myanmar-China diplomatic relations.

The China-Myanmar poetry recitation event, titled ‘Poetry Hearts Move Together’ to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Myanmar-China diplomatic relations, was jointly presented by MRTV and GXRTV (Guangxi Radio and Television). The event featured a video clip of the poem ‘The Sight of Father’s Back’ written by a Chinese writer, a recitation of the poem ‘Padauk Pann’ written by Zawgyi, a video interview featuring Chinese students discussing their favourite Myanmar poems, and a performance of the Chinese song ‘May the Related One Live Forever’.

In addition, they showed a video clip of a modern Chinese poem, ‘Pinglu Canal’, recited a poem titled ‘Thar Theemyay Thoh’ written by Ngwe Tayee, presented an interview video featuring Myanmar students studying Chinese literature as they discussed their favourite Chinese poems, and recited poems as gifts for their Myanmar friends.

In addition, a video interview with Myanmar citizens who had arrived in China was shown, during which they performed Chinese songs and filmed a documentary.
