Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System (MACCS) will be exercised in conducting import/export declaration for Ranong-Yangon container shipping starting from 1 October 2025, instead of the manual method, according to the Customs Department’s MACCS notification 011/2025 dated 29 September.
Earlier, a manual method was utilized in customs declaration of export/import process for Ranong-Yangon container shipping to have smooth border trade, as per the Customs Department’s notification 3/2024 dated 4 June 2024.
Hence, declarants need to fill in the declaration form with all the information related to their import/export. For import/export through the Ranong-Yangon container system, the following points must be filled in with special care: A1 for Station, 11 for Section, 1 for Mode of Transport, MMRGN (For Yangon), THRNN (For Ranong) for Loading/Unloading Location.
