The News Media Development Committee of the Myanmar Press Council has launched its Media Training Course 4/2025, which began on 26 September. The course is being conducted as a weekly “Friday Class” at the office of the Myanmar Press Council in Botahtaung Township, Yangon Region.
At the opening ceremony of the Media Training Course 4/2025, Myanmar Press Council Chairman Dr Tin Tun Oo delivered the opening remarks and a welcome speech. It is reported that 20 trainees from private and state-owned print media, broadcast media, and online media are attending the course.
The media training courses organized by the News Media Development Committee of the Myanmar Press Council will continue to be offered. Experts from both within the Council and external professionals will conduct discussions and lectures as instructors.
In this course, senior journalists are providing free instruction on the subject of media ethics and responsibility, while other experts are teaching photography, video editing, and cartoon drawing and editing.
In addition, the News Media Development Committee of the Myanmar Press Council will also be offering training courses on election reporting techniques.
