Vietnam posts US$13.99 bln trade surplus in 8 months
VIETNAM p o s t e d a trade surplus of US$13.99 billion in the first eight months of this year, according to the National Statistics Office on Saturday.
The country’s total import-export turnover reached US$597.93 billion during the period, up 16.3 per cent yearon-year.
Exports rose 14.8 per cent while imports climbed 17.9 per cent, said the report.
Seven key commodities each earned more than US$10 billion in export value, including electronics, computers and components, telephones, textiles, garments, footwear, vehicles and parts, and timber products.
