The opening ceremonies for the People’s Military Service Training 16 were held at various military commands yesterday. Eligible citizens attended the military training in their respective regions. The commandants of the training depots gave opening speeches.
Nay Pyi Taw Council Chair, chief ministers of regions and states, commanders, and relevant officials attended the ceremonies, met the trainees of the People’s Military Service Training 16, and presented them with cash awards, food items, and essential supplies. They also greeted and encouraged the trainees.
The People’s Military Service Law was enacted as every citizen is under a duty to safeguard our Three Main National Causes: Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national solidarity, and Perpetuation of sovereignty. The People’s Military Service Law came into effect on 10 February 2024, aiming to conduct military training courses.
Individuals who have completed the People’s Military Training are currently serving in various military units, fulfilling their responsibilities for national defence and security.
