The No 5 Fertilizer Plant (Kangyidaunt) in Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region, aims to produce 30,000 tonnes of urea fertilizer for the 2025-2026 financial year beginning 1 April with a monthly production target of 3,000 tonnes at least, according to the Ministry of Industry.

“We expect urea fertilizer output to reach 3,000 tonnes per month. The Plant produced 5,300 tonnes in the first month of the current FY, surpassing the target. We enhance efficiency with on-demand production,” said an official of the Factory.

The No 5 Fertilizer Plant (Kangyidaunt) started running in the 2010-2011 FY. It has produced over 630,290 tonnes of urea fertilizer as of 6 May 2025.
