THE government of Myanmar prioritises the well-being of its citizens abroad and ensures that, in times of difficulty, they receive necessary assistance. Regardless of the circumstances they face, Myanmar embassies and consulates coordinate with relevant diplomatic missions to facilitate the safe and prompt return of Myanmar nationals to their home country.

In line with this commitment, the Myanmar Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, took action to assist two Myanmar nationals, Ma Phyu Hnin Wai and Ma Mu Yon Kham, who were facing difficulties while working in Egypt. The embassy coordinated with the Egyptian National Security Agency, the Egyptian Immigration Authority, and their respective employers to arrange their swift return to Myanmar. As a result, they departed Egypt on 26 March via the Cairo–Doha–Bangkok–Yangon route and arrived in Yangon at 9:35 pm on the same day.

Myanmar embassies and consulates continue to assist Myanmar nationals experiencing difficulties while working abroad, ensuring their safe repatriation. The timely support extended to those in distress is deeply appreciated by the workers and their families, who have expressed their sincere gratitude to the Myanmar government, embassies, and consulates for their efforts.
