POLICE arrested four offenders involved in a burglary case at Alliance for Microfinance in Mandalay Region following the report of manager U Zaw Zaw Aung of Alliance on 9 January.
According to the investigation, on 8 January, two men arrived at the office while the night-duty man U Khin Maung Kyi was serving his duty at 12:30 pm. The offenders entered the office saying they would check the guest lists and took the LECCO safe containing K100,302,400, CCTV station and cut the CCTV wire.
Then, U Khin Maung Kyi told about the case to the manager. The manager reported to PyinOoLwin Myoma Police Station and a case was filed under Penal Code Section 457/115.
Dutyman U Khin Maung Kyi confessed that Aung Ko Ko, supervisor of Alliance and Nyein Chan Phyo (aka) Aik Pee, in charge of the loan, arrived at the office at 9:30 pm on 8 January and told him that they would steal the safe of the office. If their plan succeeds, he would get K15 million. They also notified him that the inspection unit for guest lists took the money when he faced the investigation. Then, they tied him with tape and took one safe and a CCTV station. Therefore, U Khin Maung Kyi did not tell the truth to manager U Zaw Zaw Aung for a K15 million incentive.
Based on the confession of U Khin Maung Kyi, the security forces arrested supervisor Aung Ko Ko, in charge of loan Nyein Chan Phyo (aka) Aik Pee, Sunday (aka) Kadar Bai who unlocked the safe using fake key, together with K99,702,400, safe, two laptops, one corded phone, three CCTVs, tape, scissor, one tablet, two backpacks and Honda Fit, at the corner of Sabei Street and Nawarat Street in PyinOoLwin at 4:45 pm on 9 January. The four offenders have taken action under the law.
