The Myanmar Embassy introduced the country by presenting a tourism promotion video clip featuring its enchanting landscapes and scenery, while showcasing traditional handicrafts and lacquerware during the 57th ASEAN Day celebration in Berlin, Germany, on 28 October, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Myanmar Embassy in Berlin served guests traditional food, delicacies, and drinks at the celebration jointly held by the ASEAN embassies based in Berlin at the Maritim proArte Hotel, attended by the Chargé d’Affaires ai of the Embassy of Myanmar U Kyaw Htin Lin, along with officials and their family members.
The event was inaugurated with the ASEAN Anthem, followed by welcome remarks from Mr Cheeang Thyra, Ambassador of Cambodia and current chair of the Berlin ASEAN Committee (BAC), and a documentary group photo session. Around 130 guests were present at the event, among them Heads of Missions, diplomats, and their families from ASEAN Embassies, the director-general of the Asia and Pacific Department of Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, alongside officials and Heads of Missions from ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners.
