The Khit Thit Media Facebook page published false and misleading news under the headline “351 prisoners, including political prisoners, transferred from Sittway prison to Pathein prison, facing difficulties; calls for international action over Dr Zaw Myint Maung’s death in Magway prison” at 2:36 pm on 12 October.
It was verified that these reports were fabricated. The false news spread by the Khit Thit Media Facebook page was intended to mislead the public with inaccurate information.
