ACCORDING to the observations at 13:30 hours MST today, a low-pressure area may form over Southwest Bay of Bengal around 14 October 2024.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 13 October 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Nay Pyi Taw, Magway Region and Rakhine and Kayah states. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and (southern and eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyawady Region, scattered in Mandalay, Bago and Yangon regions and Kachin State and isolated in the remaining regions and states with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities over the Southern Myanmar areas.
